What’s inside the world of Fitness?

Not exactly as it looks on the outside world or marketing platforms!!!

Well, the road to fitness never ends and that’s what I realized a few weeks ago when I turned 24. I began on this fitness voyage with the sole idea to build a body like a good looking model (don’t know why on earth) but eventually found myself questioning the pursuit when it got too hard to manage exercise along with my demanding career.

Most of us are not preparing for some Marvel movie or body-building competition and on top of that, fitness is not our full-time job so it becomes overwhelming after a point of time and the inevitable response appears -: I can’t find time to exercise daily or eat healthy daily.

That’s kind of disappointing for any health enthusiast, as you can’t go forward with your feet in two boats together. Fortunately asking the right questions brings out the best outcomes in life. And the question to ask here is, why fitness? Or why should we devote to healthy living?

The answer I found for myself (your answer can be very different than mine, but till you don’t find the good reasons for yourself — it’s going to be an on-off affair) was surprising. It isn’t for just a good looking body (as once you achieve it, then what next), it isn’t just for feel-good vibes (though a major takeaway) but high-level fitness for me was a gateway to be in constant connection with my deeper self.

It sounds a bit of spirituality in health concept, but the biggest benefit of fitness is what it stirs to the surface. To be fit and be able to do your daily chores (both professional & personal) is one thing but to move across the earth in that ultimate level of mind-body synergy is another shit altogether.

It will make you aware of every moment you live by, will keep a hold on your mind-wandering and bring in transcendence from “how you think & feel” to “how you want to think & feel”. In short, you will have flashes of your higher potential human-form and soon those flashes will spread like cosmic light around you.

Now, what exactly brings us to this ultimate level of fitness where we feel the great power of our being? It takes a right perspective and a right routine to climb up the Everest of fitness.

The perspective required — Fitness is not a means to an end, it is a life-long journey that you can experience in every moment of your breathing. So, we do not do fitness stuff just for a healthy body or feeling good about ourselves (of course those are important rewards of the efforts) but rather for magically transforming every moment of our life.

I would like to stress the words “Magic” and “Transformation” here. The magic implies that you will effortlessly become better in doing the casual stuff like career works as well as unconventional stuff like pursuing your deepest ambitions. The transformation implies a move towards higher levels of consciousness and stronger emotions about your world.

Second, comes the “?”, how to get that kind of a fitness story in your daily life. The answer lies in simplicity. Yes, it might surprise a lot of us but “the biggest results are born from the repetition of the smallest actions done day in and day out”. So, we are talking about small actions that you and I can take every day to move a step towards the higher levels of fitness.

Slowly and steadily when you get the wind of the mountains, your aura will radiate the health frequencies more strongly and consistently. I will list some of the simple & small actions for keeping the wheel of fitness moving (please note that same things repeated daily becomes boring, so try to innovate with the fundamental health & fitness principles)

1. Walk 20 minutes on alternate days (morning or evening), or once in 3 days

2. Run a little, slow or whatever speed but at least once a week

3. Get your mind cleansed once in a day by writing a mental dump of thoughts & feelings on any random piece of paper

4. Own your food, this means that you are 100% responsible for what goes into your mouth. Try to make it a deliberate practice to cook at least 1 meal for yourself and focus on the macronutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals rather than on calories or other hyped options.

5. Read about various ways to work out on each area of your body and then do at least one good workout for every muscle group per week.

Less can be more if done in the right way and at the right time. Given your busy life and never-ending challenges, I am not asking you to take half or one hour a day for fitness, but rather take at least 10 or 15 minutes of time each day and do a genuine charity for your well-being by investing in quality actions for fitness.
