Insulin — the prime mover

In the world of fitness industry, to be insulin sensitive is one of the most crucial factor in ensuring adequate absorption of the carbohydrates from diet. When we eat something, it will likely result in spike of insulin and the relative effect is measured in terms of glycemic index. GI closer to 100 means higher insulin spike and vice-versa.
